How long will it take to build my website?

‘Starter’ and ‘Business’ websites are typically ready within 3-5 weeks. ‘Ecommerce’ sites take a little longer – usually 6-8 weeks once final testing has been completed.

The sooner I receive any content/images from you for use on the website, the sooner I can get initial designs back to your for review.

What will my website design include?

My website design services are a comprehensive, no matter which package you choose. They include everything from website development and design, domain name registration, to website hosting (first 12 months FREE) and maintenance, to basic technical and on-page SEO optimisation, content writing (web copywriting), performance enhancements, and contact forms. You can learn more by reading the previous sections above.

How involved do I need to be in the web design process?

I strongly believe that SYNERGY is the heart of a successful website. Synergy is the interaction & cooperation of two or more agents that produce a combined effect which is greater than the sum of their separate effects (i.e. you understand your business better than me, and I understand websites better than you).

The more information you can provide about your business, the better I can understand it and ensure this information is integrated into your new website.

I will consult with you to pull content together and plan the style and requirements for your website. Any existing content, logos and images you have are a great starting point, but not essential. Once I have completed the first draft of your website (i.e. your homepage with menu structure), I will need your feedback before rolling out your full website design.

You will need to commit approximately 4 hours over a 4 to 5 week period. Any virtual meetings (or face-to-face if suitable) between us will be held at a time convenient to you.

My website design methods have been curated to ensure you see results no matter what industry your business is in. I particularly love working with regionally based businesses such as local tradies, bricks and mortar businesses, not-for-profits, and start-ups – but I’m not biased! 😁

How much can I expect to pay?

I’m passionate about helping businesses of all sizes get online, and take pride in offering affordable website solutions.

While I don’t believe there is a one-size fits all solution, I appreciate transparency and the need to budget business expenses. I’ve included my 3 most commonly requested website design packages above to give you an idea of what to expect – please note that additional page requests and some design features (e.g. booking system with payments, etc.) may common at an additional cost – don’t worry, this would be included in a custom quote before contract signing.

Do you perform ongoing website maintenance?

Yes I do. If you’ve recently had a website designed by Synergy Creative Co, you’ll know that we offer a 3, 6 or 12 month complimentary hosting, support and maintenance service (starting the day we receive your deposit). Do I "Own" my website after it's been built?

Absolutely – it’s your website. Once final payment is made, you have full ownership of your website, including all the content, images (*exclusions apply), and design. I build your site with the intention that it belongs to you, not Synergy Creative Co. You’ll also receive access to all relevant logins and files so you’re in complete control if you choose to be. Of course, I’m always here if you want ongoing support, hosting, or updates beyond your complimentary service.

* Any stock images or custom design elements (icons, graphics, etc.) will fall under Synergy Creative Co’s Canva Pro license rules.

Will there be any additional charges?

If you have requested something in addition to what is included in your selected web design package, this cost will be disclosed on your quote, or in a custom proposal/quote prepared for you during project delivery.

Additional services you may wish to procure include:

Professional email setup (using Google Workspace).
Email signature design.
Email subscription service setup and configuration.

What about future ongoing costs?

All websites require web hosting and domain registration at a minimum annually.

If you’re website has been built by Synergy Creative Co, your domain name registration and web hosting expense has been covered for the first 12 months (from date deposit received).

Beyond the first 12 months, costs may vary depending on the level of service you desire.

For example, if you don’t regularly need to add NEW content to your website, my basic package will likely be sufficient (valued at $40/mth).

Why WordPress?

WordPress is an open-source, user-friendly content management system (CMS). It allows people to build websites with no coding knowledge and has limitless customisation options through the use of free or paid plugins and custom code if desired – allowing your website to expand and grow WITH your business!

By using WordPress, I’m able to keep my design fees lower. It also reduces the ongoing costs associated with managing and maintaining your website.

Do you build ecommerce websites?

Yes – I build Ecommerce WordPress websites integrated with the Ecommerce platform WooCommerce. One of the reasons I love WordPress is because it offers many flexible open source software integrations.

Please note that Ecommerce websites have a higher build cost and generally take longer to develop depending on the number of products you intend to list for sale and whether they are physical or digital products. They also require more ongoing maintenance and management to ensure your online customers aren’t experiencing issues with purchases. For this reason, your ongoing maintenance and support package (beyond the first 6 months) with Synergy Creative Co starts at $110/mth.

Does my website come with SEO?

All my websites are built on the foundations of search engine optimisation (SEO), a digital marketing technique. This includes:

Quality content based on keyword & competition research.
A well-defined website architecture & navigation.
Responsive design (desktop, tablet & mobile friendly).
Easy-to-read site design (text layout, colour, size, etc.).
Calls to ACTION throughout.
Fast site speed design.
Optimised images, image names & alt text.
Internal linking.
External linking (where appropriate).

The above is what I consider “basic” SEO and serves service-based, bricks and mortar businesses very well.
