Website Design FAQs

How long will it take to build my website?

Your new website is typically ready in 2-4 weeks. If your website is an Online Store, please allow up to 8 weeks.

What will my website design include?

My website design service is what I call, a comprehensive package. It includes everything from website development and design, domain name registration, to web hosting and maintenance (FREE first 12 months), to SEO optimisation, content writing, performance enhancements, contact forms, calendar booking integration, you name it!

How involved do I need to be in the web design process?

I strongly believe that SYNERGY is the heart of a successful website. Synergy is the interaction & cooperation of two or more agents that produce a combined effect which is greater than the sum of their separate effects (i.e. you understand your business better than me, and I understand websites better than you).

The more information you can provide about your business, the better I can understand it and ensure this is integrated into your new website.

I will consult with you as together, we plan the style and requirements of your website. Any existing content, logos, images you have are a great starting point, but not essential. Once I have completed the draft of your website, I will need your feedback to ensure the end result is something you are proud to call yours!

We anticipate you will need to commit approximately 4 hours over a 2-4 week period. Any virtual meetings (or face-to-face if suitable) between Synergy Creative Co. and you will be held at a time convenient to you – we are at your service!

What types of businesses do you service?

My website design methods have been curated to ensure you see results no matter what industry your business is in.

How much can I expect to pay?

I’m passionate about helping all small businesses get online and take pride in offering affordable website solutions.

While I believe there is no one size fits all to website design, my websites generally start at $2,399 (discounts may apply to website refresh/redesign).

Do you perform ongoing website maintenance?

Yes I do. Head over to my website hosting and maintenance page for more information about inclusions and future expected costs.

Will there be any additional charges?

In addition to your website design, you may also wish to procure a professional email address and email service. I can arrange this service for free on your behalf – fees will be payable directly to Google for approx. $10 AUD per month.

What about future ongoing costs?

All websites require web hosting and domain registration at a minimum annually.

If you’ve had a new website built by Synergy Creative Co, your domain name registration and web hosting expense has been covered for the first 12 months (from date deposit received).

Beyond the first 12 months with your new website, you can expect the following:

Web hosting: from approx. $180 per year
Domain name rego: $25 per year

While these costs might not seem like much, one thing you should be aware of is website maintenance. This is a MANUAL tasks which should be performed at a minimum monthly (preferably weekly). It’s hard to put a monetary value on website maintenance – how much is YOUR TIME WORTH?

Depending on your capabilities and ability to correct updates which may not go to plan (yes, unfortunately this can happen!) you may not need to spend a significant amount of time on this task.

Fortunately, if fiddling with maintenance tasks isn’t your cup of tea, I offer ongoing hosting and maintenance packages from $69 per month.

Why WordPress?

WordPress is an open-source, user-friendly content management system (CMS). It allows people to build websites with no coding knowledge and has limitless customisation options through the use of free or plugins and custom code if desired.

Do you build ecommerce websites?

Yes. I build Ecommerce WordPress websites integrated with the Ecommerce platform WooCommerce. One of the reasons I love WordPress is because it offers many flexible open source software integrations.

Your Ecommerce website with Synergy Creative Co. will come with my standard website inclusions in addition to an online store. You will also receive 12 months of priority support and maintenance valued at $109/mth.

Please note that Ecommerce websites have a higher build cost and generally take longer to develop depending on the number of products you intend to list for sale.

Does my website come with SEO?

All of our websites are built on the foundations of search engine optimisation (SEO), a digital marketing technique. This includes:

Quality content based on keyword & competition research
A well-defined website architecture & navigation
